Good to track where you are

Posted by CJ on Sep 22nd 2020

I found that this app was most useful to track my whereabouts in areas without cell reception. Many of the trails that I saw in the app were not actually available to ride. You'd be better off just getting a current paper map from a local shop when you get to town and following the signs. All the trails are very well marked. Pro-tip you can save money by downloading sections of Google Maps to your phone for free and you use those maps and track your whereabouts on there even when offline.

    Pay attention to the signs...

Posted by John on Aug 31st 2020

The maps were not as accurate as I had hoped. I have purchased a book from a different source and the amount inconsistency between both is frustrating. Meaning both the book and the digital GPS maps have in accurate trail information. A large portion of trails shown on the GPS in the northern end of Phillips Maine are closed trails. Just be sure to watch for trail signs to ensure you are on trail and not private property.

We went to Maine for the first time ever and didn’t get lost once. Best ATV GPS out there!

    Decent Base Map

Posted by RICK B on Aug 6th 2020

This is my 3rd year using the software and though it is not 100% either are any of the in print maps out there. Its only as good as the user data received. If you ride and find it inaccurate send Trailmasters your ride file so they can update. Trails open and close all the time based on landowner operations as well as permanent closures due to yahoos tearing up their land!!

Excellent tool, most accurate maps I’ve found

Posted by Harry on Jul 31st 2020

These are the most accurate maps I’ve used. With all of the ongoing trail changes, there’s no way for any maps to be 100% accurate but these are as close as you can get.

    too confusing for me

I find the product to confusing and difficult to locate a trail I wish to ride. Maybe I just need a guided tour on how to use the program.

    Old trails & NO new

Posted by Owen on Jul 22nd 2019

Many of the mapped trails are several years old and aren't usable anymore. Also, many of the new trails aren't mapped at all. It would be nice to have a more consistent update that mapped new trails and also deleted old ones, so as not to lead people in the wrong direction. It makes it hard to plan a route when you're counting on using a certain trail on the map that turns out not be a trail at all anymore.

Don't hit the trails without it!!

Posted by Lenny on Aug 10th 2018

First off, although I was born in raised in northern Maine, we never had a 4-wheeler. Daring to brave the Maine trails without a good map system is very scary. New to riding, with a new side by side, we hit the trails. We got lost and the dark was approaching. Luckily we found a main road and realized where we were. 10 miles later down the road. We made not back to our vehicle and trailer just at dark. We bought this trail map and loaded it on our phone the next day. Since, we have used it numerous times. I love how it pinpoints your location and even shows which direction you are pointing on the maps! Using with Android and Locus maps! GPS Trailmasters Map Map is a must-have. Whether you are atv-ing, snowmobiling, hiking, or biking! We will not ever hit the trails without it again! A lifesaver!! Literally!!
