Nuvi 52 Snowmobile Trail Map Demo (07:46)
A snowmobile GPS demonstration. A snowmobile trail map for Maine, New Hampshire, Vermont, New York or Pennsylvania from GPS Trailmasters will install to your Garmin GPS and overlay the existing base map that comes with your Garmin. Although this demo is for the Garmin Nuvi 52, our maps are compatible with most Garmin GPS models. Your Garmin GPS provides the turn-by-turn routing firmware so that capability must be included with your GPS. Other considerations for the Garmin you choose is the screen size, battery life and the ability to hard wire your snowmobile GPS to a 12V source. The outdoor hand held units are typically ruggedized and waterproof. The automotive units like the Nuvi 52 are more susceptible to the elements but have larger screens and cost less money. The snowmobile trail map can be downloaded instantly to your GPS or it can be shipped to you already installed on an SD card. Trails are color-coded to identify corridor trails, secondary trails and even club trails. Unique line styles are used to identify lake crossings, plowed roads, closed trails and ungroomed trails. Use the "Where To" feature to access gas, food, lodging, parking, etc. We have hundreds of trail accessible POIs built into our map. Auto route with turn-by-turn directions to your destination. See your position on the map as you ride the trail. See your track behind you as you ride. Save your tracks for later use or submit to GPS Trailmasters to be added to the map.

  4. As We Say In New England, “Wicked Easy To Use" 5 Star Review

Posted by on Feb 19th 2021

If you can use the GPS in your car/truck, you can use GPS Trailmasters products, and the price leaves no post-purchase guilt.

Their website has a great video on how to make magic happen with this mapping software. For ease, I ordered the SD chip too. I just slid it into my GPS SD slot, and off I went. Note that, depending on your GPS, you may need a MicroSD to SD Memory Card Adapter, but they’re only $3.95 on Amazon.

In my particular case, I rent snowmobiles when we head to the North Country, so I needed something interchangeable. Therefore, all I did was take one of my retired GPS units, purchased a transferable handlebar mount ($9.95), plugged everything into a portable battery pack ($25.00), and hey, I was good to go!

I always carry a map as a back-up, as is sensible, but for the same reason GPS units took over AAA Trip Tix (am I dating myself), a snowmobile GPS should be part of every rider’s kit.

  5. Very helpful but not perfect 4 Star Review

Second time out using these on my gps and the trail deviated quite a bit. Great as a preliminary resource but be sure to pay attention to where you’re headed as theres room for error. Otherwise they’re very user friendly and I highly recommend them

  7. Best NH Trail Maps...Bar None! 5 Star Review

This will be my third third year using a Garmin device with NH Snowmobile X Package loaded. This is the most comprehensive most up to date map information there is! I wouldn’t go without it, but as always, carry paper maps and support your local clubs! You never know when your electronics could up and quit on you!

  10. Great Mapping both Canada and New England 5 Star Review

Posted by on Mar 10th 2019

Doug has GPS mapping here. Seen some people post hard to use. I had a few questions and Doug answered them so I understood them. had GPS Trailmasters for 3-4 years now. This has made for many stress free days of riding(knowing where fuel is / how far away. Most important part of snowmobiling, knowing where your next stop is and if like to take a detour GPS is still looking out for you. Best thing I did was put every address I know into my gps (motels, fuel, food, repair shops, friends, places important to remember because when you have No Cell Service and something has come up it sure is nice to look at your address book on your GPS and touch go there. Information at your hands like this could save your life or somebody you know or don't know. My GPS is with me at all times now snowmobiling or Motorcycling. Talk to Doug, He will Not steer you in the wrong direction. Hope this review helps someone out. Have Fun!
