Nuvi 52 Snowmobile Trail Map Demo (07:46)
A snowmobile GPS demonstration. A snowmobile trail map for Maine, New Hampshire, Vermont, New York or Pennsylvania from GPS Trailmasters will install to your Garmin GPS and overlay the existing base map that comes with your Garmin. Although this demo is for the Garmin Nuvi 52, our maps are compatible with most Garmin GPS models. Your Garmin GPS provides the turn-by-turn routing firmware so that capability must be included with your GPS. Other considerations for the Garmin you choose is the screen size, battery life and the ability to hard wire your snowmobile GPS to a 12V source. The outdoor hand held units are typically ruggedized and waterproof. The automotive units like the Nuvi 52 are more susceptible to the elements but have larger screens and cost less money. The snowmobile trail map can be downloaded instantly to your GPS or it can be shipped to you already installed on an SD card. Trails are color-coded to identify corridor trails, secondary trails and even club trails. Unique line styles are used to identify lake crossings, plowed roads, closed trails and ungroomed trails. Use the "Where To" feature to access gas, food, lodging, parking, etc. We have hundreds of trail accessible POIs built into our map. Auto route with turn-by-turn directions to your destination. See your position on the map as you ride the trail. See your track behind you as you ride. Save your tracks for later use or submit to GPS Trailmasters to be added to the map. http://www.gpstrailmasters.com

  1. Love the trail maps! 5 Star Review

Because I have the snowmobile maps on my Garmin Montana GPS and mounted on my sled right in front of me....my fellow riders always say "Where are we going today?" And I am always elected to lead. lol Lots of fun, sometimes I pick a route that has many surprises..er points of interest. Don't forget to send in trail updates!

  2. Best GPS trail system 5 Star Review

Posted by on Mar 12th 2021

Excellent for someone who doesn't know the trails I installed the SD card on my hand held Garmin and you can't ask for a better result 10/10 rating. If you have a GPS it's well worth spending the extra $ for the SD card

  3. Excellent program 4 Star Review

Being a guy whose ridden tens of thousands of miles off on on trail this is a great tool. Takes a bit during season to account for closures but the fact it has the old trails on the map which are sometimes the current makes it a great tool along with a top map for those of us who like to explore new places. Ive used in in Maine and Quebec for the last 4 seasons.

  4. Excellent for those new to sledding! 4 Star Review

I can’t say enough positive things about this map overlay. Worth every penny x10!
To start with, it’s our firs season out there, naturally other than a mechanical failure far from home, or a bad accident where there’s no cell service- my biggest fear is getting lost out there. We’ve gone out with my brother-in-law a few times who’s been sledding the area for years, but even he would tell you, trails change and signs get covered. Our first trip out we were faced with a handful of closed trails that had him kinda disoriented. Couldn’t tKe the familiar way home. I pulled my phone out, and was able to navigate us all home safely. Huge confidence booster for me. They all wanted to know, “hey, what’s that app you were using?” LOL I suspect there will be a few more purchases because of that day.

My wife and I went out this weekend for our first couple trips with no one to guide us- it went really well. I can’t thank you guys enough for such a great product.

Best advise to new users- learn the app and features and how to use them before you go out on the trails. Get your offline maps downloaded safe on the couch.

  6. Best map product on the market. 5 Star Review

Posted by on Feb 12th 2021

I've been using GPSTrailmasters products for a long time. I own a Polaris with a PIDD gps and these maps by far are more detailed and accurate. I basciacally stopped using my PIDD for GPS capabilities and mounted a Garmin Montana to see trailmaster maps. Such a cool product. Now they also have a ton of Points of Interest, so you can consider options for food, fuel and sights. Awesome product!

  7. Excellent 5 Star Review

I purchased these maps and installed on an Garmin Drive 52 refurbished ($54 Amazon) mounted to my sled with (3m adhesive pad)and changes my ability to use the trails! Not afraid to go on a long venture solo! Need to find gas, a few clicks and I had a new route to the nearest sled friendly gas station!

  8. Excellent product with up-to-date trail maps! 5 Star Review

Posted by on Jan 24th 2021

It took me a while to figure out how to install these maps on my Garmin Zumo 590(have to download Garmin's "basecamp" and "mapinstall"), and then it was easy. Highly recommend this!!

  10. Seems to be a great product 5 Star Review

Posted by on Nov 19th 2020

Though Ive yet to be able to use the Maine snowmobile maps yet due to no snow yet, It seems like a great tool for directionally challenged people like myself as well as the seasoned explorer. Seem quite easy to use and not bad at all to set up. Without even trying it on the trails yet Ive already recommended it to several people.
Ill be using it primarily for ice fishing unfamiliar areas where traditional access is limited.
