Nuvi 52 Snowmobile Trail Map Demo (07:46)
A snowmobile GPS demonstration. A snowmobile trail map for Maine, New Hampshire, Vermont, New York or Pennsylvania from GPS Trailmasters will install to your Garmin GPS and overlay the existing base map that comes with your Garmin. Although this demo is for the Garmin Nuvi 52, our maps are compatible with most Garmin GPS models. Your Garmin GPS provides the turn-by-turn routing firmware so that capability must be included with your GPS. Other considerations for the Garmin you choose is the screen size, battery life and the ability to hard wire your snowmobile GPS to a 12V source. The outdoor hand held units are typically ruggedized and waterproof. The automotive units like the Nuvi 52 are more susceptible to the elements but have larger screens and cost less money. The snowmobile trail map can be downloaded instantly to your GPS or it can be shipped to you already installed on an SD card. Trails are color-coded to identify corridor trails, secondary trails and even club trails. Unique line styles are used to identify lake crossings, plowed roads, closed trails and ungroomed trails. Use the "Where To" feature to access gas, food, lodging, parking, etc. We have hundreds of trail accessible POIs built into our map. Auto route with turn-by-turn directions to your destination. See your position on the map as you ride the trail. See your track behind you as you ride. Save your tracks for later use or submit to GPS Trailmasters to be added to the map.

  1. Garmin Nuvi 68L 1 Star Review

Posted by on Jan 11th 2019

I ride in NH and ME. The NH map is good. The ME map is terrible. I get the ITS trails on the GPS but no other trails. Also the ITS trails are not accurate for my GPS. The trails show up as a straight line with 45 degree turns but the turns on the map are 1/2 mile apart so the map is always thinking I am off course. I did a factory reset on my GPS and I get the same results. I don't experience this for the NH trails.

GPS Trailmasters' response: The issue you are having is a result of the bug in Garmin MapInstall. Visit the website Help page to remedy the problem.

  2. i like it 5 Star Review

I used this map set of snowmobile trails in the Andover, Maine area and made tracks to Bosebuck and Rangeley. All the tracks came over to my Garmin GPS no problem. It was easy to use and had all the club trails on it in very good detail. I look forward to using it more next year! The update packages are reasonably priced as well. A we all know snowmobile trails change year to year for various reasons and being able to get annual updates is very helpful.

  3. Awesome 5 Star Review

Only had a chance to use it once on a 100 mile ride to Greenville. Trails are spot on and how nice to put gas and food in and get turn by turn directions. Don’t leave home without it!

  4. Great addition to snowmobile 4 Star Review

Posted by on Mar 16th 2018

This completely changed the dynamic of snowmobiling. No longer need to look at a paper map or figure out how to get anywhere. Auto route recalculation if you take a wrong turn. Can focus on the fun part of the sport...

Only wish is that I did not have to recreate routes with map updates, but that might be a problem with something I did our a setting I need to change. Either way, this product is great.

  5. Accurate and works great offline (x package) 5 Star Review

Very useful to check location at intersections with poor signing. Fast position and accurate. I use the locus app on android and there is a bit of learning to do. I will renew maps every year. I really like it.

  6. great product if up to date 4 Star Review

Posted by on Feb 22nd 2018

These Maps are awesome when up to date. Recently purchased Maine Snowmobile trail Map, loaded to my Garmin Montana 600 and headed to Maine 2/3 to 2/10. The product was very good when accurate. Anyone who has ridden Main knows there are frequent annual reroutes due to logging. Encountered trails almost daily that were not correct. The local maps however had the reroutes which means they were mostly planned prior to season. Gas to be a better way to get this information in advance so when you buy the product and head to unfamiliar territory, you have accurate maps.

  7. Best way to know where you are and where you want to go 5 Star Review

Posted by on Feb 16th 2018

I bought the Maine map version for my new Garmin Rino 755T and I have to say, I'm very impressed. Its only been a few weeks and there have been several updates to the trails already. I had a ton of old GPS tracks in my Delorme PN-40, but finally bit the bullet and got with this complete version. I'm still fairly new at it, but like the routing options for day trips, etc. I also like the ability to provide GPS Trailmasters new, or changed trails for updates. If you want confidence in knowing where you are, this is the best program out there.

  8. quality, trustworthy trail maps. 5 Star Review
