4 very good but not perfect
Posted by RB on Feb 17th 2021
My perspective reviewing this is as a dual sport motorcycle rider. I’ve found that adding an ATV map to my Garmin GPS really added more riding options. Add planning ability to BaseCamp and that takes it to another level. I have used other similar products to Trailmasters and see some pros and cons to this one. Pros: Cross-platform compatibility (phone, Garmin, Basecamp; displays well in Basecamp WITH street and other map info; access routes, where ATV’s are allowed on streets, are well-marked; Maine trails are abundantly represented, underlying GPX info is accessible and therefore maybe fairly easy to share for group rides; street map detail is integrated into the GPS map display; I had a tech support question and my call was promptly returned; very good product documentation; affordable. Cons: need a PC (or Mac?) to install maps (downloading a *.img file would suffice for Linux, Chromebook, etc. users); no-motorcycle, etc. trails would be much better if presented as a distinct color rather than as text labels; does not ‘layer’ well on Garmin with other map info (my GPS has other maps that would be helpful to see combined with this info, which works with a competitor product). Overall I am happy with my purchase. Would recommend.

5 Well worth the small cost

Accurate for the trail info it contains. It does not have every single trail, but the trails it does have are accurately mapped. Helpful in addition to other nav tools such as trail maps. Helpful to be assured of where you are on trails you haven’t traveled before, and helpful to know where to turn when trail markings are missing. Used the trail data overlaid into Guru maps app on iPhone.

5 Easy to use Trail Map with Garmin
Posted by Eric Z on Oct 10th 2020
I have used New England GPS for the ATV trails in New Hampshire and Maine for about 5 years now. They are always accurate. I set up my days ride by what I want for lunch and dinner, set up a trip with those two places and go. I normally don't have to worry about the accuracy except when the trail is closed for unforeseen reason like a washout.

5 Great product
Posted by Unknown on Oct 5th 2020
Used this product in the past in NH and recently purchased for a trip to Maine. I used it to supplement the maps the other riders had and it was very helpful in filling in the areas the maps didn't cover. Many other riders asked where I had purchased this product as they were impressed with its detail

5 Best overall ATV trail coverage for New England
Posted by George on Sep 6th 2020
In my opinion, an absolute necessarity for overall planning and navigating of riding areas. Excellent while sitting home planning online and when navigating on the trail. Have used it for both including a 360-mile 4-day loop trip of Down East Maine. As it's input is rider supplied, you may occasionally find a trail that's no longer open. Riders can and should provide feedback for those closed trails. We always try to obtain local trail maps although not always possible. Excellent product. Thank you, Doug!

3 It was great in the beginning

I love the product. This is the third tome I’ve purchased the NE ATV X package. -As it gets older the closed trails do not get removed and causes an issue. -Pittsburg NH trails do no match the GPS very good overall - The time to destination never worked correctly. It’s always how close you are in general. -Some updates I lost basic functionality. I used to show I was speeding on roads but with the latest update I don’t. -One way trails In Jericho would be nice but I imagine that would be difficult to figure out. You guys are still the best option out there and I will continue to use you.

I got this gps so I could take visiting company out on trails I had never been on without worrying about missing our intended destinations. Had some difficulty adding to my smart phone but the chip was easily inserted in my Garmin and it works great.

5 Best ATV Trail Maps in New England
Posted by Shaun Cookinham on Aug 6th 2020
GPS Trailmasters Map for Garmin devices and Garmin Base Camp application seamlessly integrate such that you can plan any route, as well as compare any recorded ride to the map overlays. I've been using the Trailmasters maps for well over (5) years now predominately in the Northern ME area with no issues. The trail maps overlay the Garmin Topo maps which provide high fidelity of trail accuracy. No other digital trail maps compare. Lastly, customer service is second to none. Doug takes the time to address any issue you might run up against, or is always willing to listen to your feedback.
