Montana 600 ATV Trail Map Demo (07:11)
ATV trail maps from GPS Trailmasters will install to your Garmin GPS and overlay your existing base maps. Although this demo is for the Garmin Montana 600, our maps are compatible with almost all Garmin GPS devices. Your Garmin GPS provides the turn-by-turn routing software so that feature must be included with your GPS. Other consideration for the Garmin you choose is the screen size, battery life, ability to hard wire to your snowmobile, ATV, dirt bike or OHRV. The outdoor hand held units are typically ruggedized and waterproof. The automotive units are more susceptible to the elements but have larger screens and cost less money. The ATV trail map can be downloaded instantly to your GPS internal memory, your own SD card or it can be shipped to you already installed on an SD card. Trails are color-coded to identify what type of OHRV is allowed on the trail. Unique line styles are used to identify access roads - paved roads usually within city limits that are used for ATV access to gas, food, lodging, parking, etc. And of course, you can find hundreds of POIs on our maps for these services. Auto route with turn-by-turn directions to your destination. See your position on the map as you ride the trail. See your track behind you as you ride. Save your tracks for later use or submit to GPS Trailmasters to be added to the map. http://www.gpstrailmasters.com

Going up north for the first time. It was great to look at my gps and tell me were I am. It even shows you the road you can drive on the different trails with different colors. I used my garmin 1450ltm with no problems.

  8. Newbie MUST HAVE 5 Star Review

My brother and I started using the NH trails this year with a new side x side he purchased. Because we had never been on the trails we were nervous about running out of gas. We didn't want to be lugging leaking gas cans around the trails so we purchased 4 different trail maps for northern NH at a cost of $8 to $12 each. We quickly realized the gas station locations were different on all of them and not one had the complete list. The maps on the trails were no better. With the gpstrailmaster overlay all we do now is open Points of Interest, click on Gas and complete large list of gas stations comes up. Select one, hit go and you're directed on how to get there. Sweet! One improvement would be to have the town the gas station is in. I noticed some did have the town name where others just had the name of the gas station which adds the step of selecting it then looking on the map to see where the new waypoint was added. This should be everyone's first upgrade to their machine.

  9. Not Happy 2 Star Review

I have a Garmin 2689 which I received this past December. This is an auto GPS not an off-road unit. However I was promised the SW would work with it. After going through the many steps to download the Base camp. When the Trailmaster's NE ATV SW is checked in my maps the street SW does not function correctly. Good thing I tried it in a known area as it would have sent me in the wrong direction. When using the ATV SW the display does not look anything like the illustration shows. I have downloaded the latest update to no avail. I do not have any confidence in this SW. I took awhile in writing this as I have been trying to troubleshoot the problem and the best I get is to disable the SW when in my truck. In fact I feel more confident with a cheap compass and a trail map....Sorry but this has been my experience. I was kind in giving 2 stars..

GPS Trailmasters' response: Our trail map is auto-routing (turn by turn) and therefor cannot be enabled with a second auto-routing street map. The Garmin software cannot process two independent routable maps at the same time. Our software is a transparent trail overlay and displays over whatever background map comes with your GPS.

  10. Nice map system 5 Star Review

Used the maps for several days and always had an idea of where we were. The trails do change for one reason or another. The sooner us as users can give GPS Trailmasters feed back the sooner we can have up-dated maps. GPS Trailmasters keep up the good work.
